Fees & Pricing
Psychotherapy
$215/60 minute session (virtual)
$225/60 minute session (in-person)
I offer a 15 to 20-minute complimentary phone consultation that will give you the opportunity to acquaint yourself with me and determine if I am the right therapist for you. The initial session and subsequent weekly sessions last 60 minutes.
Depending on presenting issues we may decide to increase or decrease the frequency of sessions. I am currently offering online (virtual) sessions, in-person walk and talk sessions (in Rock Creek Park and elsewhere in the DMV) as well as coaching sessions and consulting offerings — coaching and consulting rates are different from therapy rates (please inquire within for more information about my rates for therapy, coaching services, and consulting).
I accept debit/credit cards and FSA/HSA cards at this time.
And, although I am considered an “out-of-network” provider, a portion of your treatment may still be covered by PPO health insurance plans.
You can check your coverage by asking your insurance company the following questions:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session for an out-of-network provider?
- Is coverage determined by the treatment diagnosis?
No Surprises Act 2022
Effective January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act requires health care providers to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges to those who are uninsured or those who do not wish to use their health insurance plan.
The “Good Faith Estimate” is provided to help you estimate the expected charges you may be billed for receiving psychotherapy services. During your initial phone consultation, I will review and explain your expected medical care costs.
Additional Information:
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least1 business day before your service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to keep a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
- For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call1-800-985-3059.
